What are Chakras?

Chakras are energy centers within the body, believed to regulate physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The word "chakra" comes from Sanskrit, meaning "wheel" or "disk," and refers to the spinning vortexes of energy that align along the spine, from the base to the crown of the head.

There are seven primary chakras, each associated with specific functions, colors, and aspects of life.

 

The Seven Chakras

1. Root Chakra (Muladhara)

   • Location: Base of the spine.
   • Color: Red.
   • Element: Earth.
   • Focus: Survival, stability, grounding, and security.
   • Imbalance Signs: Fear, insecurity, feeling ungrounded, financial instability.

2. Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana)

   • Location: Below the navel, in the lower abdomen.
   • Color: Orange.
   • Element: Water.
   • Focus: Creativity, sexuality, pleasure, and emotions.

4. Heart Chakra (Anahata)

5. Sound Healing: Use music, mantras, or frequencies like Tibetan singing bowls.
6. Energy Work: Practices like Reiki or acupuncture can help restore balance.
